Nicole Abraham, a licensed professional counselor, utilizes cognitive, behavioral, and mindfulness techniques to promote an understanding of the connection between thoughts and emotions as well as minds and bodies. She works with a wide-ranging population of individuals, including adults, children, and adolescents. “My therapeutic approach is person-centered in nature and grounded in empathy and compassion,” Nicole says.

Prior to coming to Samaritan, Nicole worked as an outpatient therapist at InterCare Psychiatric Services in Pittsburgh, PA. Previously, she had worked as a mobile therapist for Pressley Ridge in Pittsburgh, serving youth and families.

​

Nicole treats  both individuals and families who are experiencing the effects of trauma and crises, specializing in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and shame. Nicole’s areas of expertise include ADHD, bipolar disorder, coping skills, life transition, racial identity, school and peer relationship issues, parenting, women’s issues, and more. She earned her Master's in Mental Health Counseling from the California University of Pennsylvania.
