As a seasoned psychotherapist, Carla applies her expertise in the principals of Gestault Therapy to multiples areas of clinical specialties, including Couples Therapy, Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorders, Addiction, Suicide Training, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and numerous others. Carla has served on Samaritan's clinical team since 2002.

 

In addition to providing in-person therapy at our Gibsonia office, Carla presents Psychoeducation lectures for schools, churches and community groups in areas such as Family Dynamics, Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Couples Retreats, Meditation, and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention. She also runs a female pastors support group.

 

Carla earned a Master of Social Work from The University of Pittsburgh, Master of Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University, Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and her two-year certification in Gestalt Training for Professionals in Pittsburgh. In Gestault Therapy, self-exploration and self-adjustment provide an emotional release that allows clients to move forward in their lives.

 

Carla enjoys gourmet cooking and traveling abroad with her husband, Jeff Turconi. Carla and Jeff have two children.
