Sr. Susan English

Do you want to quiet your inner critic, create deeper relationships and find life balance? As a Life Coach, Sr. Susan English is a gentle listener, creative thinker and motivating guide while challenging clients to reach their full potential. To her coaching, she brings wisdom from her own personal growth journey, including parenting six children (three by birth and three by adoption), serving as a college professor and prison educator, and recovering from a major health challenge.

At Samaritan, Sr. Susan provides coaching services onsite at our Bakerstown office or via the internet, dependent upon clients’ preferences.

Sr. Susan’s Background:

In 2001, Sr. Susan left university teaching and entered the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh where she is active in several leadership roles. She entered religious life “to live in community with women who are seeking to do good in the world and draw closer to God.”

Sr. Susan has a doctorate in education and is the co-director of the Professional Coaching Certification Program at Duquesne University. She earned her Master Coach Certification and Professional Coach Certification from the International Coach Federation and her Professional Co-Active Coach training from the Coaches Training Institute.

Throughout her career, Sr. Susan has authored and co-authored scholarly publications and presented numerous workshops on a variety of topics including coaching, academic leadership, human trafficking and religion. In addition, she has held many leadership positions in the education field.

Sr. Susan is currently a member of the Association of Coach Training Organizations (ACTO) and the International Coach Federation (ICF) for which she formerly served as president of the Pittsburgh chapter.
