Jennifer received her BA from Duquesne University where she majored in Psychology. She earned her MA in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Counseling from Geneva College.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, Jennifer specializes in serving all populations (age 5-senior) addressing depression, anxiety, mood and personality disorders, ADHD, grief/loss issues, family/premarital/marital problems, etc. She also applies her expertise to conducting groups and specialized trainings.
As a highly trained clinician, I believe in a perfect balance of using professional knowledge, life experience, spirituality and empathy to provide excellent counseling treatment to my patients with emotional support. Jennifer explains.
Jennifer has an NCC from the NBCC Board and is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the American Psychological Association (APA), in addition to Psi Chi and the National Honor Society in Psychology (having graduated from Geneva College with a 4.0 GPA). She is a member of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC).
Prior to joining the clinical staff at Samaritan, Jennifer accumulated 20 years of experience in the field. She worked in case management for individuals with mental retardation, wraparound services as a Behavior Specialist and Mobile Therapist, and as an Outpatient Therapist/Program Coordinator. She also worked in family based services as a Mental Health Professional.
Jennifer is also certified in Conflict Resolution/Mediation and has served as a consultant and mentor for others receiving their LPC license and interns entering the field. Furthermore, she was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, a Professional Honor Society which recognizes excellence in the counseling profession.
Jennifer sees clients at Samaritans Beaver and Rochester offices in Beaver County.
