Samaritan Counseling Center

“She” could be your neighbor—the kindly lady who quietly tends to her garden. The one who always flashes a friendly smile and waves “hello.” Or she could be a woman in your workplace, volunteer group or church committee. She may even be your best friend.

What is she hiding behind her smile?

Loneliness. Depression. Illness. Lack of sufficient income. Or struggling to take care of a loved one when she herself could use a helping hand.

These and many other issues can take their toll on a woman’s emotional health. Strong, intelligent, competent and nurturing, women give of themselves heart and soul—but often at their own expense.

The fact is that many women in your community are suffering in silence. Lack of insurance, inadequate coverage or unaffordable deductibles are keeping them from getting the help they need. But there is hope. At the Samaritan Counseling Center, we provide fee subsidies to women in crisis who seek faith-based, professional care but cannot afford to pay.

So, if you’re thinking, “What can I do to help myself or to help other women?”…here are two very important things you need to know:

1) Call the Samaritan Counseling Center at 412-741-7430 to GET HELP.

Samaritan providescounseling by licensed professionals who are compassionate and experienced at helping women overcome women’s issues. We help women regain their strength. Manage stress. And learn to take better care of themselves.

2) Make a donation to GIVE HELP.

Over 60% of those we serve are women. And over half of them lack the resources to pay. That’s why we maintain our Silent Samaritans Fund: to provide women affordable, faith-based counseling. But we cannot do it without your help.

Will you please join our Silent Samaritans—“women of strength helping women in need?”

$125 will help a woman and her therapist to identify areas of need and set treatment goals. A $42 gift will subsidize one counseling session. Any amount you can afford will help!

Please use Samaritan’s Go Fund Me page to make your gift—and don’t forget to share with your friends. Thank you for caring!
